The Purple Carolina Reaper is an unofficial color variant of the original Carolina Reaper , developed through independent grower selections to enhance purple pigmentation. While not stabilized, it's admired for its striking anthocyanin-rich pods and retains some of the extreme heat of its famous red parent.

Germination & Growing

• Start indoors (Nov–Jan) in nursery trays or 5×5×5 cm pots.

• Use light, well-draining seed-starting soil.

• Soil temp: 26-30°C, Air temp: 22-28°C, Humidity: >60%.

• Use a humidity dome + heating mat.

• Provide 12-16 hours of light daily.

• Add airflow with a fan after germination.

Flavor Profile & Heat
Sweet, fruity, creeping heat. Around 1,600,000 SHU , similar to the red variety.
