Mad Dog 2020 is the result of our ongoing search for new CBG genetics for the masses. We're always looking for something new and unique, and we found it in some seeds from a good friend in the Czech Republic, which were given to us as Swiss CBG bagseeds. After growing them, we realized they were very similar to our Italian Bernabeo and decided we'd like to preserve them and incorporate them into our CBG breeding programs. What's unique about this cross is its extremely pungent and often nauseating terpene profile. From ammonia to garlic to a citrusy skunk, the profile is loud and direct. Many will find it unappealing, but for those seeking thiol-rich aromas and CBG, this could be the right choice.

Mad Dog is a pure Type IV CBG-dominant strain created through selections from Swiss CBG. Initially, 10 different female plants were selected for their flower structure, terpene profile, growth and vigor, as well as their resistance to pests and mold. These were backcrossed and used to open-pollinate several of our different strains, including the most terpene-rich Swiss CBG. Mad Dog is a sativa-dominant strain similar in growth to our Bernabeo, OC, and BBX2. Expect long, spear-like colas that fill out the entire stem, producing a heavy-yielding, fast-flowering plant. It tends to produce CBG in the 6-10% range and maintain THC levels until harvest. It flowers quickly in northern latitudes and is ready before October, with a maturity time of 8-9 weeks.
